Canolfan Ffynnon Wen is a unique and innovative residential Centre located at the gateway to Snowdonia National Park in the heart of North Wales.

Schools and Groups

We specialise in providing arts and environmental activities for children and young people to explore the natural world, our cultural identity and ourselves through an exciting range of cross-curricular programmes.

The programmes, facilitated by experienced artists and specialist practitioners, are designed to encourage creative thinking, build confidence and self-esteem and foster a respect for others and the environment.

Accommodation and facilities

Canolfan Ffynnon Wen is a traditional Welsh farmstead set in eight acres of land with beautiful outbuildings that have been converted to create workshops, studio space and a gallery.

The four star graded accommodation comprises six bunk rooms providing a total of 36 beds with adjacent rooms for group leaders when required. The Centre is fully catered offering quality meals with fresh local ingredients together with a packed lunch service. We also have a drying room and secure bike store on site.    

Environmental Statement

At Ffynnon Wen we practice as well as promote the principles of sustainable living.

The Centre incorporates a number of green technologies to minimise our impact on the environment including a soon to be installed 5 kw wind turbine, Sedbuk A boilers, and highly efficient insulation and glazing.

Other Activities

We also offer taster workshops in arts and rural crafts, summer schools and a programme of exhibitions in our gallery.
