We want as many people as possible to enjoy the experience of a visit to Ffynnon Wen and access for all is at the heart of our philosophy.

Facilities and access

• Car parking facilities on site with allocated bay for disabled use
• Drop off point for cars/coaches
• Nearest town – Bala (9 miles)
• Public Transport information available
• All ground floor facilities including workshop/gallery and studio units are level and accessible throughout
• The accommodation is on two levels with ambulant disabled staircase to upper level
• Unisex disabled toilet, wash and shower facilities to ground floor 
• Ground floor sleeping accommodation allows for mixed sex mobility impaired use
• All ground floor doors/entrances/corridors wide enough to accommodate wheelchair/zimmer frame/pushchair
• Loop system available in dining room and workshop/gallery
• Seating in the dining room and workshop/gallery is flexible and will allow for a variety of seating arrangements
• The facilities are well lit throughout with fire alarms, smoke detectors and emergency ‘fail safe’ lighting units in each room
• Task lighting can be provided on request
• Good colour contrast to floor, walls and doorways
• Public telephone available
• Mobile phone reception varies and should not be relied upon
• Assistance dogs are welcome
• Facilities for the storage of wheelchairs and re-charging of electric wheelchairs will be available
• All site information will be available in a range of formats
• All facilities and activities at Ffynnon Wen will be pre-booked by groups and individuals in advance of attendance and every effort will be made to accommodate any special requirements.
• All staff members will be trained in disability awareness under the Wales Tourist Board’s Welcome Host scheme
