Ffynnon Wen Artists: Lynne Stein

Lynne Stein's work often pushes the boundaries of basic traditional textile techniques and processes, such as rag rugging, hand and machine stitch, feltmaking and beadwork, in order to explore the potential for creating highly painterly and rich textural 2 & 3D surfaces and forms.

Recycling and unusual combinations of media and materials are central to her work.

For the past 15 years, Lynne has had a wide experience of working educationally with all Key Stages, and providing INSET training, as well as exhibiting throughout the UK and abroad and creating commissioned work for public, private and corporate spaces.

Her work has been featured in numerous books and magazines as well as on radio and television.
