Typical 5 day course

Laid out below is an example programme of a five day course to give you an idea of what we offer:

Day 1
10.30am approx Arrivals  and Introductions
Groundrules  
Welcome pack Including information about the centre and the area, wildlife calender – what you’ll see and when you’ll see it and a timetable for the week
Break drink and a snack
Activity (2hrs) Diary making
Lunch  
Activity (2hrs) Walk on the Wild Side – getting to know the area/site – digital cameras used to capture first impressions for inspirational use in later artwork
Break drink and a snack
Games session eco-games
Dinner  
Roundhouse session A quiet time to talk about the day and what’s to come, story telling, diary time. 
9.00pm Bedtime
   
Day 2
7.30am Cockerel crows
8.00 am Breakfast
Activity (2hrs) Working with guest artist (there will be a number of guest artists each having a particular discipline ranging from ceramics to stained glass) introductions to artist and activity followed by ideas and inspiration.
Break drink and a snack
Activity (2hrs) Continue working up ideas  
Lunch  
Activity (2hrs) Afternoon session with artist developing group/site piece
Break drink and a snack
Site session working in the kitchen garden/feeding the animals 
Dinner  
Roundhouse session a quiet time to talk about the day and what’s to come, story telling, diary time. 
9.00pm Bedtime
   
Day 3
7.30am Cockerel crows
8.00 am Breakfast
Activity (2hrs) Session with guest speaker/facilitator (these sessions will be delivered by a variety of individuals and agencies, e.g. bio-diversity/education officers from Conwy C.B.C., Coed Cymru and Countryside Council, Local farmers etc.
Break drink and a snack
Activity (2hrs) Review of morning session
Lunch  
Time Out Trip out to local centre – Parc Pen y Bryn, Ewephoria, White water rafting or Parc Glan y Gors
Dinner  
Roundhouse session a quiet time to talk about the day and what’s to come, story telling, diary time. 
9.00pm Bedtime
   
Day 4
7.30am Cockerel crows
8.00 am Breakfast
Activity (2hrs) Second day with guest artist.  Continued work on group/site piece.
Break drink and a snack
Activity (2hrs) Continue morning work
Lunch  
Activity (2hrs) Completion of group/site piece
Break drink and a snack
Site session Preparation for celebration
Dinner  
Last night celebration Percussion, song, campfires and storytelling
9.00pm Bedtime
   
Day 5
7.30am Cockerel crows
8.00 am Breakfast
Activity (2hrs) Tying up loose ends – any finishing off, binding diaries etc.
Break drink and a snack
Activity (2hrs) A letter to myself!
Lunch  
Roundhouse session Last minute information, things to do and think about and goodbyes.
